Job Description:

This position will work day and evening shifts and every-other weekend after three months of training. Using a PC based switchboard, Customer Contact Representative II is responsible for handling a high volume of both routine and complex incoming, outgoing and inter-office telephone calls and serve as dispatchers for the Security staff. They are the paging operators for St. Cloud Hospital employees and the medical staff, and provide medical messaging services for clinics throughout the community during non-clinic hours. They are responsible for monitoring the activity of security personnel, monitoring a variety of alarm systems and ensuring that all communications and alarm systems are in proper working order. The Customer Contact Representative II will also facilitate inbound calls from referring hospitals wishing to transfer a patient to St. Cloud Hospital while tracking all calls for EMTALA. They may also assist with outgoing transfers from the ETC, OR, or other areas as needed. Will field calls document the calls, and provide follow-up information to the referring hospital. EDUCATIONHigh School Diploma or equivalent required. EXPERIENCEExceptional organizational, communication, and customer service skills required. Previous experience in operation of large telephone system preferred Typing skill of 40 wpm required along with general computer and Microsoft Office experience. Must be able to multi-task and work well in a high-stress work environment.
