Supplies account for a significant portion of CentraCare’s total expenses. By developing integrated processes to manage product selection and utilization, contracting, purchasing, logistics, and payment we can ensure our patients have the supplies they need while minimizing the overall cost to our organization. By following the purchasing policies, using the products under contract, and preventing waste, you help make sure that we spend our supply dollars wisely. The Procurement Analyst assists the procurement team in developing and maintaining efficiencies and compliance based on the organization’s goals, policies and procedures. Researches and negotiates prices, makes and maintains vendor relationships, and develops process metrics. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers. EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent required Associates Arts degree in business or three years buying experience required in healthcare preferred BA/BS business degree preferred. EXPERIENCE Three years experience in healthcare materials management including use of automated materials management information system preferred. Competent in the use of Word and Excel software programs. Strong analytical and computer/spreadsheet background required. Must be detail oriented. Strong mathematical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required.
